Our turmeric farm is located in Ponorogo district, East Java province. Ponorogo Regency is known as one of the best turmeric producers in Indonesia. Turmeric from Ponorogo Regency is also in great demand by importers. Because it has the best yield. One of the biggest importing countries of turmeric from Ponorogo district is India. According to the field data we collected. The amount of turmeric that Ponorogo district can export to India is 2200 tons per year. Even though thousands of tons have been imported, the stock of turmeric owned by Ponorogo district is still overflow.
However, many turmeric farmers in Ponorogo district still live in poverty. This is not without reason. Many of the wholesalers buy turmeric from farmers at very low prices. But wholesalers still sell the turmeric at a high price in the market. Departing from this problem, then Global Turmeric was born. We are committed to paying farmers well.
